DWELLERS
OF DARKNESS (book 3 of DARKNESS series)
Book
is for mature audience. Rated: New Adult – graphic language, adventure, sexual situations
SUMMARY: Some days feel like years, but in Ember
Brycin’s case just the opposite is true. She had only been in the Otherworld
for a day or two when she returned back to the Earth's realm. But it is three
years later on Earth. Em is now 22. It would matter if she was human, but she’s
not. She is a Dae, part Demon and part Fay, with a little Dark Dweller thrown
in to make her even more of a freak.
Seeing
Seattle rebuilt only confirms she has been gone three years. For her it was not
long ago that the Seattle area was just rubble of concrete and death. All done
by her hand.
One thing
that hasn’t changed, though, is her undeniable connection to Eli Dragen, who is
sexy, gorgeous, and even more volatile and frustrating. But her problems go way
past him. The Seelie Queen of the Otherworld still holds Mark, Em’s father, and
her friends, Ryan, and Josh as hostages. Em needs to rescue them without, once
again, getting caught and being used as a pawn to help the Queen regain
possession of Earth. At the same time Ember is in hot water with Lars, the
Unseelie King, after breaking her contract with him.
As some
secrets have come to light others seem to become even more enigmatic. The only
truth Ember knows is, everyone is harboring secrets. As Eli’s past is revealed,
Em understands more clearly why he acts the way he does and how much their
lives are intertwined. But she also knows Eli is holding something back,
something that could change their relationship forever.
Em herself
continues to wrestle with her feelings toward Torin and her own secret she’s
withholding from Kennedy. As the tension for war mounts between the Seelie and
Unseelie (Light and Dark), the tension at the Dark Dweller’s compound mounts
even more as they prepare to obtain the sword no matter what the price. But is
Ember the answer to the location of the sword? Is she the one to fulfill the
prophecy? As usual nothing is ever what it seems.
OMG it's 3 years later. The last book
ended on an epic cliff-hanger. We just learned that Eli may or may not be the
ultimate traitor. Then the first person we see again- back on Earth-... Eli. We
get back home to everyone and find out that Eli went off the deep end. Then we
see meet Evil Brother again-- he doesn't deserve his name to be mentioned.
Sadly I have to give the boy one thing, he can make a good plan go so wrong.
Teaming up with Sam was the start of his downfall now someone just needs to
push him over the edge. Eli and Ember are back at their love/hate relationship.
Got to love them and that ;). BTW
what the heck is up with Torin. I hate the guy. I really do. I can't seem to
remember why. Oh yeah, he got in between Eli and Ember. BOY GOT ME TWISTED. No
one gets between the couples I ship and I ship Eli and Ember HARD.
Be gone Torin- no one needs you. I take it back. We do need you but I don't
have to like it.
Can we take a moment and figure out
what the heck of a game Eli was playing at first. Talk about hot and cold. But
that boy takes hot alpha male to his own level. If you catch my drift ;D.
Now Ember I'm so glad she has some of
her powers under control. You know except when she gets really EMOTIONAL.
I've decided that Stacy is just trying
to mess with my head. Eli and Ember make up then break up, like Katy Perry’s “Hot
N Cold”. Just
so we are all aware Torin and Ember DO NOT belong together .Just because the
idiot Fey put a bond on them that didn't work like it's supposed to doesn’t
mean Torin has to pull the “We we’re meant to be”
card. P-LEASE! Let that ship sink faster than the Titanic.
The Sword of Light is interesting.
Only one girl can find it and there is only one sword. I love it when writers
give characters one secret weapon to defeat the bad guys. Live or die. Makes it
more worth reading. Don't you think?
Now what as an attitude Ember has. I get
she has a hero complex. Yea, for her but she doesn't have to take it out on
everyone else. Eli needs to calm her down [ may be like she calmed him. If you
read the book you know what I mean]. Things are always better when they make
up.
Okay so Eli and Ember as a couple and
all is still not well. West is dying. [Ryan can't leave the land of the Fey.]
[I think Josh was the one who set the
trap for the pixies.]
CHARACTER DOWNLOAD {CONTAINS SPOILERS}
Did I mention that Lars is back. [There
are hints of a deeper relationship between him and Lily.] We also found out a
major secret or three or twenty.
Lily, Em’s mom- who isn’t
dead- is a hot mess who needs to go get herself straight.[ Giving teens/ young
adults fey wine].
Those pixies- Cal and Simmons- are
hilarious. [That trick they played on Eli. YES!!!!!].
On the other hand, Torin. is scaring
me. He’s
getting real angry and push-like-shovy with Ember. I think he needs to go.
Right now he is just adding wood to my fire. Stacey- the wonderful writer that
you are- if you could just fry Torin like left-on-the-stove chicken. That would
be great.
Anyway Lars takes the crew on an epic
adventure.
Cooper is renamed “the
Dog” but
I love him
Kennedy and Jared 4ever and are
here-by-named CUTEST COUPLE.
Eli and Ember’s “eye-talk” is
still as hot as ever
Josh is a little to sneaky [Josh is a
traitor. I knew it! Ahh! Hate him so much. All the clues are there. The
sneaking around, being extra nosey. A traitor who was too naïve
for his own good and living his famtasy. Josh I hope you die… I
THINK] pay extra attention to this little human.
I really love to hate cliff-hangers or
even unsolved problems. Don't you? I'm not sure I can call the end of this a
cliffhanger but it was just NOT COOL. Especially the scenes before. Just wrong
people bit like I said LOVE TO HATE. This book was Amazing and I can't wait for
the fourth one. Tell me what you think.
TTYL readers and try not to kill
anyone after you read this. Yes, there will be an Urge
