Allegiant by Veronica Roth Review Part II

Sidebar: I’m sorry but I could wait to post this.

WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS

“…I didn’t want to leave him…” One of the saddest, most reassuring quotes to ever hit this series

Okay so I am here and now. A little calmed down. It’s time I sent this out…

This book was…. probable one of the best books I’ve ever read. It had me all over the place left to right, up and down. I was seriously crying all through the epilogue. I-as so many others-truly connected to this book. I thought the author gave us something to fear and look forward to. That’s what any good author should do. Give the readers a reason to read. I’d like to point out that I DO NOT approve of the ending. So I guess I’ll start from the beginning.

Evelyn has taken over as we saw at the end of Insurgent. She and her fractionless member have all the weapons and dominate the remainder. At the beginning Tris, Cara, and Christine are about to stand trail. In walks everyone’s favorite Four or Tobias. Now at this time Evelyn believes the Four and Tris are broken up but- thank the heavens- they aren’t. He has to pretend to be on her side to gain her trust- Evelyn’s I mean. Anyway they give Tris the truth serum and of course she lies to save Cara and Christine. Anyway the story progresses and things heat up.

There is a new rebel group in the works. This group is called Allegiant. I know – the connects to the title. I nearly died with shock too. Anyway, this group is semi ran by Cara and she invites the Dauntless to join her movement. And of course they do because they all want out of the city that is slowly but surely killing themselves. Even Tori joins the journey towards life over the fence. And you know hat happened. Veronica Roth thought  it would be a good idea to KILL HER. She was in the lead after they left the cars and Veronica Roth shot her to death. And I should have known, I should have known that this event was a sign. Veronica Roth was sending a message and I got it too late.

Peter, Caleb, Uriah, Christine, Cara, and Tris all made it over the fence and that’s where things got complicated. Before I hit that, let me go back. We all know what happened in Insurgent when Caleb hit all of our BLACK LIST. Well there was a trail and he was found guilty. Tris decided she didn’t want him to be killed so Four being the AWESOMENESS he is, broke Caleb out of his prison cell.

Okay we are back, outside the fence is different. The group is introduced to airplanes and major information that was other wise blocked from. If you read the book you know what I am talking about. If you haven’t I still not going to say it because there is A LOT of stuff we didn’t think was still around.(And besides if you haven’t read the book you shouldn’t be reading this. Unless you are like me and what to know what happens before you read the book). During this time a lot of drama happens and I mean A LOT!!!! Our favorite couple nearly breaks-up! It was seriously too much for one day but me being the idiot I am, read it in one day anyway. WORST IDEA EVER!!!!!

During their stay on the outside Four make some serious mistakes. Did I forget to mention that is was in dual point of view. Anyway, he makes a made decision after he finds out what being a Divergent really is. Then he makes a mistake with this chick. And it’s worst then you think. But in the end Tris and Four make up and have some stolen kisses here and there. They were really in lone Tris and Four, even in the end and during the battles when nothing went their way; they had some of the strongest love I’ve ever read. That is why for now until forever I am claiming the Divergent series an epic love story, not sy-fy or any other category you think you can put it in. It’s an epic love story for the ages.

But leave it to Tris and Four to find trouble. And boy do they find it. This trouble is different from the past fights and battles they have been in. The end result is getter than anything. Then again left it to Tris to save the day but at what cost this time. What cost? is always the question. And in the final installment of the Divergent series the cost is one that will stay with me forever.

SERIOUSLY MAJOR, MAJOR SPOILERS

BTW, the cost was her life. The plan was to send Caleb in to stop the attack on their friend and families only they got caught. In the heat of the moment Tris took Caleb place. She was able to past the death serum but a gunshot is fatal. She stopped the attack- of course she did- but in the end she went home to her mom and dad. Leaving everyone with her wisdom and sacrifice that made all their lives better. Meanwhile in the fractions Peter, Arum- yes the Arum from Divergent the Four talked about. He is alive- Christine and Four go try and save Christine’s family and Uriah family. You know Uriah’s family his brother Zeke and his mom. Well, Uriah was in the hospital with a fatal head injury and he wasn’t going to wake up. Plus in Four’s pocket he had a memory serum that took away the memory of whoever drank it. In the fractions Marcus and Evelyn were at war and needed to be stopped. Four offered the serum to his mom. If she drank it, he and her could be a family again;she just needed to stop this war before it began. His mom chose him in the end. She compromised with the Allegiant group and Marcus was unofficially exiled. When the group got back Tris was gone. Four was destroyed beyond repair. An absolute mess. He almost ended up taking the memory serum but Christine talked him out of it.

Uriah ended up dying and Peter took the memory serum. He wanted to erase all the evil in him. He became better in the end.

The epilogue began 2 1/2 years later on what was supposed to be Choosing Day. On that day the gang met up again to finally spread Tris’ ashes. On that day, Four finally zip-lined for his girl. At the end of the book we never found out if they actually spread the ashes but you can guess. It was time to release her. Four and everyone around Tris are better because of her and they prove it each and every day.

Even through Diveregent is Tris’ story in the end it was Four who survived. Who carried her around . Who survived her death with us- who just plain SURVIVED! The boy lost the love of his life, his mom and his dad. Luckily he got his mom back, his dad disappeared but his girl wasn’t coming back. No matter how long I held my breath, Tris wasn’t coming back.

In short this book gave us a twist no one saw coming. But Tris did what she did best SAVED THE WORLD. And everyone did what they did best SURVIVED and that all we readers can do. Close the book and try to move on.

GOOD LUCK to you all because at this point in time, moving on seems pretty damn hard.

PS: I never could determine what the water sign symbolizes so if someone could tell me I’d be grateful. Besides we all still have the movie to look forward to. I don’t know about you but I can wait to see how they turn this book into a movie.

TTYL Divergents and Good Luck with the rest of your lives….

Allegiant by Veronica Roth Review Part I

So I am sure everyone has been freaking out for this book. I know I have. I was dying after the end of Insurgent. Waiting… watching the date… as it ticked by and gave us the final installment of this AMAZING series. The only thing is, I wasn’t ready for this book. I thought it was going to be a Happily Ever After for now until for and ever. I wasn’t ready for the emotionally rollercoaster this book set me on. I wasn’t ready for the betrayal, the forgiveness, the heartbreak… the TEARS. I wasn’t ready for the end now matter how sort of happy it was. I must warn you now this book will not be predictable, understandable, or bearable. Veronica Roth takes your happiness, your sadness, and all your other feels and rips them from you until your bare. Just bare, not knowing what to do.

Now I am going to have two parts to this review. This is part one when I don’t really say anything. I get all the information out and most likely the in the second week of November I will post the real review where I break down everything because this is the end and from here I have no where else to go.

And could you tell me what the water sign means because I still can’t tell

Sneak Peek- Rock Bottom by R.K. Lilley

OMG guess what I found. Okay, I'll tell you. I found the prologue and first chapter of the next installment of Tristan and Danika's story.

PROLOGUE

DANIKA
I took a deep breath, my face buried in the most divine chest in the world.  I’d been awake for a while, but I didn’t even think about getting up.  I wasn’t sure If I was more wrapped around Tristan, or he me.  We’d gone to sleep clutching each other, and from what I could tell, neither of us had moved an inch.
My leg was thrown over his hip, my arm around his side, a fistful of his T-shirt gripped in my hand like I was holding on for dear life.  I was lying on my other arm, enough weight on it that it’d gone numb, and still, I didn’t even think about moving.
His arm was thrown over my shoulders, one leg pushed high between mine.  I could feel my own T-shirt riding up to my ribs, his hand gripping a handful of it at my back.  We’d been mirroring each other, clinging for dear life, even in sleep.
I felt him stir, and I lifted my head to look up at him.
His beautiful golden eyes were blinking, still blank from sleep.  I witnessed his transformation from sweet oblivion and into dawning horror as he remembered.
I thought that might have been the worst thing about losing someone, that moment between asleep and awake, when you had to remember and accept the loss again, relive that moment when your life changed, and you lost something dear.   It had been just over a month since his brother’s funeral, and he was still reliving that horrible moment of realization every morning.
Two days after the funeral, Tristan’s mother had asked him to leave her home and not come back.  As wrong as it was, it was clear she was placing all of the blame for Jared’s death at Tristan’s door.  I thought he’d taken the falling out well, considering all he’d been through, and I’d been confident that she’d change her mind after she made it out of her own grief, but so far she was holding firm in her pique.  It was a struggle for me not to get mad at her.  But I told myself, over and over, that she was just hurting bad, and that much pain could spill outward.  She loved Tristan, and so she would get over this.
Tristan had taken her rejection well, all things considered, but he needed me now more than ever, and I was determined to get him through this.
He’d spent the past month basically glued to my side.  He still had his apartment, but he’d slept over at Bev’s house every single night since we’d left his mother’s.  He didn’t want to be alone for even a second, and I understood.  Solitude was perhaps a necessary component when dealing with grief, but I could not deny this man anything.
We didn’t go out, spending our days playing with the boys, and our nights watching re-runs  of Jerry’s all time favorite show, Arrested Development, over and over again, until we could quote the episodes to each other.  We’d make love, fall asleep, then make love again.  It was a time of comfort and distraction, of love and avoidance.
To this day, I thought back on those days as the most bittersweet of escapes.
His eyes shut tightly, and his lips sought out mine, seeking comfort through touch.  I gave it to him.  I was ready and willing to give him absolutely everything.
His fingers let loose their grip on my shirt, skimming up along my back, peeling it off me in a few smooth, swift motions.  His shirt received the same treatment from my impatient hands.  I rubbed my chest to his, as we made direct contact, skin on skin.
He dragged off my panties while I dragged off his boxer-briefs, kissing every part of his body that I could reach, sucking his nipple hard into my mouth until he gasped and tugged me away, his hands in my hair.
He slid his hands down to my hips, gripping tight.  He rolled onto his back, and pulled me up to straddle him.  “Ride me,” he told me gruffly, using those big hands to tug me into place over his erection.
I arched my back, using one hand to balance on his chest while the other guided him to my entrance.  I rubbed him there, letting him feel how ready I was, and just loving the feel of his tip playing over me.
His hips bucked underneath me, pushing him in far enough to make me gasp.  “Now,” he growled, “I can’t wait.”
I pushed down while he surged up, seating me to the hilt.
My eyes closed, my head falling back as sensation overtook me.
I stayed still, just enjoying that perfect contact, until his impatient hands tugged at my hips, urging me to move.  I circled at first, a teasing motion that had him gripping my ass and moaning.
I bit my lip and worked into a rhythm, rocking back and forth, back and forth.
He brought one hand up, kneading at my breast, his other sliding up my thigh, going unerringly to my clit, rubbing in a circle that brought me to the threshold of release deliciously, leisurely.
Those magic hands never missed their mark.
“Please,” I cried, quickening my pace.
He worked me faster, and I froze and shook like I had a fever, letting the waves of rapture take me.  I felt him jerking inside of me as I came back down from that addictive high, his face arrested in his own gratifying release.  I loved to watch him come, and I held as still as I could, impaled on him, until his eyes opened, and he blinked up at me.
I folded down to lay against him, burying my face in the side of his neck, breathing him in.
He always smelled divine.  Like home.
“I love you,” he rasped out.  He said it all the time.  He didn’t hold it back, now that he’d admitted it, but it still gave me butterflies, every single time.
“I love you,” I spoke softly into his ear.
He gripped me harder.  “I can’t ever lose you, Danika.  I’m not sure I’d survive it.”
“You’ve got me.  And I’m not going anywhere.  Not ever.”
I meant the words when I said them, but life had other plans for us.
I was, by nature, a fighter, and no one could say I didn’t fight for us.
I’d have given my life for that fight.
In fact, I very nearly did.

First Chapter

TRISTAN
I was shrugging into a dark blue T-shirt when I froze mid-motion, not quite believing my eyes.
“There is no fucking way you are wearing that,” I told her, sitting down on the edge of my bed to watch her, equal parts pissed off and turned on at the sight of her.
She was wearing tiny black cheer shorts that didn’t belong outside of a bedroom, and a black half-shirt that read ‘Fuck No’.  It left all of the skin bare from two inches below her naval to the top of her ribs, just covering her breasts.  She wasn’t even wearing a bra.
My jaw went slack, my eyes glued to the sight.
She didn’t have huge breasts, but they were a handful, and they were fucking perfect, soft and pliant in my hands, and when real tits went braless, there was no mistaking it.
“Fucking no way in hell.”
“I can’t wear a bra after the tattoo, and the half-shirt makes it so I won’t have to take off my top for the cameras.  Frankie told me exactly what to wear, and I’m wearing it, so wipe that Neanderthal look off your face.”  As she spoke she twisted her hair into a bun on top of her head, the shirt riding up, bearing the undersides of her breasts.
“Are you fucking serious?”
She rolled her eyes, completely blowing me off as she slipped into flip-flops.
“It’s important for me to be comfortable and properly prepared, Frankie says.  If you can’t behave yourself, you are staying home.”
“Are you fucking serious?” I repeated.  “I took a week off just for this, and you’ve had to postpone it for weeks, just so I could go with you.”
“So behave yourself if you actually want to come.”
I clenched my jaw to keep from arguing, counting to ten, my eyes glued to the front of her shirt.
“Fuck No?” I asked her.
“Frankie says it’s a great way to let the censors keep you modest.  If my nipples are hard, they won’t pick it up, because they’ll already be blurring the word fuck.  She loaned me the shirt.”
No shit, I thought.  It was clearly a Frankie creation.
She moved to stand in front of me, hands on her sexy little hips.  I reached up, palming her breasts with both hands.  I closed my eyes, not quite managing to stifle a groan.
“We’re already late, Tristan, and the camera crew is on a tight schedule.”
My eyes snapped open to glare at her.  I lifted her shirt that minuscule degree it took to bare her tits, cursing loudly and fluently as I leaned forward, framing her breasts in my hands and sucking one hard nipple into my mouth.
“I’m going to pin you to that table when she’s done with you and fuck your brains out.”
She gasped, and one of my hands snaked down, sliding into the waistband of her shorts to finger her.  I yanked it out with a curse, using the leg of her shorts instead to ram my finger into her hard.
“If I can get at your pussy this easy, that’s a good sign that your shorts are too tiny.”
Her hips twitched, moving on my finger, and I went back to sucking on her nipple and working her on my finger.
I waited until she was close and pulled away, extricating my finger slowly, teasingly.  “We’re late, boo.  Remember?  Tight schedule.”
She glared at me, backing away.
I grinned at her and winked.
I could barely keep my eyes on the road as we drove to Frankie’s tattoo parlor, glancing over at her every time she shifted on her seat.
She was jittery with excitement, and every movement, every twitch of her body was distracting in that barely there excuse of an outfit.
I fondled her with one hand until she moaned, trying to push my hand away.
“Quit teasing me,” she complained.  “I don’t want to be turned on right now.  It’s going to be hours before we can do anything about it.”
“Well, tough shit,” I told her, sending her a sidelong smile.  “You know what that outfit is?  It’s a tease.  You’re only getting what you’re dishing out right now.”
She lifted her shirt, and my hand was suddenly kneading at her bare skin.
Fuck.
I glanced over.
She was folding the band of her shorts down, making them even tinier, and pulling the waistband open wide.  She grabbed my hand and slid it down her body, cupping my hand over her sex, shifting until she could force one of my big fingers inside of her.
I yanked my hand away, and refused to look at her for the rest of the drive.  As always, she’d won the teasing contest.  She was the uncontested champ.
I should have known better than to go there.
I put my arm around her like the overprotective boyfriend I was as we walked through the casino, glaring at every asshole that stopped to stare at her.
“Fucking pinning you to that table as soon as she’s done.  Going to fuck until we’re both fucking raw,” I muttered under my breath, making her giggle.  I wasn’t even close to joking.
She tried to hug Frankie when she we got to the shop, but I got in between them, giving Frankie a pointed look.  “You talked her into wearing this, but you sure as hell aren’t feeling her up while she does it.”
Frankie just laughed.
Danika punched me in the shoulder.
I stood back, arms folded across my chest as the TV producer did a brief interview for the show about her tattoo.  She blushed and giggled and told a little story about how she’d always loved cherry blossoms.
She was adorable, and I was counting the seconds until I could fuck her brains out again.
They did a lot of closeups of the spot on her back where the ink was going.  Frankie held up a square of paper that was about three by five inches, illustrating exactly where and how she planned to place her precise sketch of a cherry blossom branch, left of her spine, the top ending right where her shoulder blade started.  It was beautiful, as I’d known it would be.  Frankie’s work was always excellent.
I stood at Danika’s head, holding both of her hands for hours while Frankie worked, wanting to punch each member of the camera crew nearly every second of those hours.
The work was slow and fascinating.  Watching Frankie work was always a treat, but watching Danika’s lovely back becoming even more exquisite with an intricate piece of art was an experience.
And of course it turned me on.
Danika took the pain well.  I’d crouch down to check her expression, and only occasionally were her eyes squeezed tight with pain.  Mostly, they were clear, and excited about seeing the results.
I took down her hair, and stroked it, and even bent down to kiss her face when Frankie took the needle off for brief breaks while she switched ink, or wiped the area.
The final result was well worth the wait, and the pain.  Dark branches were painstakingly detailed, and ended in pretty blossoms that went from myriad shades of pale pink, to magenta, to a bright red.
It was a feminine tattoo, perfect in every detail, just like its owner.  She squealed in delight when she finally got a good look at it.
“Give her some privacy while she gets dressed,” I snapped at the crew when Frankie was finally done.
Frankie shooed them out, following behind.  She gave me a rueful smile before she shut the door behind her.  “I’ll blast some rock so you can have some privacy.  I’d recommend you lock up after me.”
I locked the door, moving back to the table.  Danika was already on her stomach, lying down, so all I had to do was twist her until she was sideways, her hips at the edge of the table, her feet not quite touching the ground.
“Get up on your elbows,” I told her, tugging off her shorts.
“I can’t believe you’re doing this,” she said breathlessly, raising up just enough to give me access to her chest.
“No one can say I didn’t give you fair warning.”
“Frankie knows exactly what we’re doing in here.”
No shit, I thought.  “Nah,” I said.  “You just needed a minute to straighten your clothes.”
“I don’t have that many clothes.”
“That’s the problem, now, isn’t it?”  I slid my hands up her ribs, palming her bare breasts under that joke of a shirt.
I rammed into her, not stopping until my hips slammed hard against her.
She screamed, gripping the other edge of the cushioned table.
“Well, now she definitely knows what we’re doing,” I rasped, pulling out slowly.  I let go of her breasts, leaning back to watch my cock slide out of her slick entrance, cursing as her sheath gripped me tight, the curses turning into praise as I lunged back inside of her, hitting the end of her so hard it jarred us both, and she screamed again.
I bent back over her, speaking into her ear.  “Did I hurt you, sweetheart?”
“No.  More, Tristan, more.  Fast.  Please, please.”
I closed my eyes, the sound of her soft voice begging me about all I could take.
I was true to my word.  I pinned her to that tattoo table and fucked her brains out.
I came so hard, my legs just about gave out, and I was shouting nearly as loud as she was screaming.
“You like that angle, huh?”
She mumbled something in the affirmative, laying her cheek on the table, looking like she was about to drift off.
I cleaned us both up with paper towels from the bathroom that adjoined the room, slipping her shorts back on her.
I had to pick her up and set her on the table to get her upright, and even then she leaned forward against me, her head on my shoulder.  I copped a feel, completely powerless to keep my hands off her bra-free tits.
“Just remember, if you ever decide to wear something like this again, this is what will happen.  You won’t be able to get anything done, because I won’t be able to stop touching you for more than seconds at a time.”
“I need a nap,” she said, sounding half asleep already.
“I need inside of you again,” I said into her ear, already trying to work her shorts back over her hips.
Copping a feel had backfired in a hurry.  My brainless cock had taken it to heart.
I fucked her sitting up that time, leaning her back on her hands so I could watch her round breasts bounce with every jarring thrust, her shirt pulled up to her neck.
Frankie knocked loudly on the door for that round, telling us to hurry up.
I shouted loudly back for her to fuck off.
I pounded into Danika, growling, cursing, praising, all the while completely mesmerized by her naked chest.  Something about having just the tops of her shoulders covered, and the rest of her bare, was turning me into a sex-crazed maniac.
Come to think of it, everything about her turned me into a sex-crazed maniac.
She moaned almost lazily as she came that time, squeezing me like a vise for torturous, drawn out moments.
I shouted and came, laid her back on her elbows, spread her legs wider, bringing her heels up to the table, and hard again, I pushed inside of her.
Again.
She was so slick, so full of me, and I groaned and cursed and rutted mindlessly in her until my legs wouldn’t hold me for another second.
I leaned forward on my elbows as I twitched and spurted inside of her, my face in her neck, and wondered if anyone would notice if we passed out on Frankie’s table for a few hours.
“You better clean up after yourselves, you nymphomaniac horndogs!” Frankie was shouting on the other side of the door.
Who knew how long she’d been shouting?  Not me.
“I put clorox wipes by the door, lovebirds!”  she shouted, maybe five minutes later.
I blinked, wondered if I’d been sleeping, and then studied Danika, trying to figure out if she was sleeping.  She was still managing to prop herself up on her elbows high enough not to lay directly on her fresh tattoo.
“I hope she doesn’t think we’re going to use those to clean ourselves,” I muttered, trying to find the strength to stand up straight.
“I think those are for her table that we desecrated,” Danika murmured, eyes still closed.
“And the floor!  And the wall!  And everything else you touched in there!”  Frankie shouted.
“How about you work on getting thicker walls in here, Miss nosypants?” Danika shouted back without missing a beat, her face still looking relaxed enough to be asleep.
I couldn’t help it.  I laughed.  Even nearly unconscious, she could manage to dish out sass.

Sneak Peek- Sweet Reckoning by Wemdy Higgins #2

OMG I found a new sneak peek. I am late but here we are....

I laid back the lounge chair and rolled to my stomach, content.
Sounds of splashing faded as I dozed.
And then I heard a beautiful voice. . . .
“Cover your arse, and nobody gets hurt.”
I lifted my head to see Kaidan crouched next to me. He was here! Just as I was about to get up and throw my arms around him, his gaze slid down my body to my butt and stayed there. Hello, stormy eyes.
I felt twice as hot under the sun as I had one minute ago.
I threw the towel over my body, which forced his eyes back to mine.
“Hey,” I whispered.
He touched my face, and I leaned into his palm.
“I feel like it’s been a year since I saw you,” he said softly. “I’ve missed you.”
I reached up and cupped his hand. “I’ve missed you, too.”
“But you’re still in trouble.” His voice was low and gravelly.

Amazing right! I know! Can't wait for more. Tell me what you think

Origin by Jennifer L. Armentrout

za

OMG you won’t believe what I just read. I mean, you most likely would because of the title of this blog but I can’t believe it myself.

So here is the story:

Origin starts off where Opal ended. Katy is captured by the DOD’s separate department Daedalus. And as you’d except from there HELL is freezing over; page by page; moment by moment. Then Daemon, being Daemon, did something Daemon-ish. Now I know that sounds vague but if you know Daemon you could guess what happened. Anyway, everyone is being fed lie after lie. People are being hurt. I don’t usual cry during books but this book had me crying at least 4 different times. IDK if you read the preview but the whole book is in both Katy and Daemons POV. It was amazing to read how both of them were reacting during everything. Detail were added to help both sides. By both sides I mean Daedalua and Daemon and Katy. They learn of the Origins- BTW the title totally fits.

I will give you this. Katy gets out with a little help from some old and new friends. I’d tell you who but I don’t want to spoil it for you. But once they get out, secrets are revealed and people you thought were friends turn out to be the enemy. You find out what Luc really is and he makes a major splash in this book. Sadly, the team ends the book on the run. There are deaths of many major character and some minor. News that would rock your socks off. Sweet heart moments and a possible new couple. This book ends on the worst cliff hanger EVER.

If you read this books prepare for tears, heart-ach, hope, confusion, OMG- moments and hate.Let us not forget those Oh! moments. Join Jennifer L. Armentrout and the rest of the Lux lovers on the 4th installment of the Lux series.

PS: Jennifer L. Armentrout gave us the title and a preview to the next book. If you want to read the preview place your cursor it. If you haven’t read this book you might be a little confused.

Sneak Peek Starts Below:

Katy

I always had this plan for the off chance I was around for the end of the world.  I’d climb up on my roof top, turn up the radio, blast R.E.M.’s It’s The End of The World, and watch it all go down from my lofty perch.

Except real life rarely turned out that cool.

And it was really happening—it was the end of the world as we knew it, and I sure as hell didn’t feel fine.

Everything had changed and we had been the catalyst for it all.

This book is an 100 out of 100. I must read for everyone. Oh, I almost forgot. The title to the final book…

Pepe3(1) Coming out Summer 2014

BTW: There will be no ARC so we will all have to want to the hopefully juicy battle and happily ever after. I am going to put on quote that I’ll randomly found in the book to give you a sneak peek into this AWESOME- SAUSE !!!

“I can’t help it.” He planted a hand on the other side of my hips and leaned in, brushing his fingers over my chin. “Got the drool.”Laughing, I pushed at his rock-solid chest. “You have an overinflated sense of self-worth.”“Uh huh.” He pressed down until our bodies were flush and his thigh was between mine. He supported his weight on his arms as he bent his head, brushing his lips against mine. “Kiss?”

I gripped his upper arms and gave him a quick peck. “There you go.”

He lifted his head, scowling. “That was the kind of kiss you give your grandma.”“What? You want a better one?” Craning my neck, I put a little more oomph behind the kiss. “How about that?”

“Sucked.”

“That’s not very nice.”

“Try it again,” he said, eyes narrowing into lazy slits.

My breath hitched in my throat. “I don’t know if you deserve a better kiss after telling me the last one sucked.”He did something truly remarkable with his hips, causing me to gasp.

“Yeah,” he said smugly. “I deserve another kiss.”Yes—yes he did. I kissed him again but settled back before the kiss could turn into something deeper. Daemon’s scowl went up a notch, and I grinned. “That’s all you deserve.”

“I strongly disagree with that.” The tips of his fingers drifted down my arm and across my rib cage. The feather light touch continued over my stomach and farther south. The whole time his gaze was held to mine. “Try again.”When I didn’t move, he did something clever with his fingers that caused my heart to pound against my ribs. I lifted my head, feeling dizzy and light. Brushing my mouth against his, I kissed him again, paying special attention to his lower lip. As I started to pull away, he wrapped his hand around the back of my neck.“No.” His voice was low. “That was barely better. Maybe I just need to show you.”I shivered at the heat in his stare.

My entire body tightened. “Maybe you do.”And he did—oh God, did he ever.

Wasn’t that awesome. There is more Daemon and Katy lovely-dovey moments all through the book. I hope you enjoy this little slice of heaven. Now I know this review is sort of short but it’s either a short review with not much info or a detailed one with every minor detail.

Sneak Peek- House of Hades by Rick Riordan

Hey, so my guess is many of you have been following Rick Riordan since the start of Percy Jackson. Now House of Hades has your heart pumping while waiting. Let me ease your pain. I found the first chapter to House of Hades. This in found in the new short The Son of Sobek. The Son of Sobek is a twist with Carter Kane and Percy Jackson.

Chapter 1

HAZEL

DURING THE THIRD ATTACK, Hazel almost ate a boulder. She was peering into the fog, wondering how it could be so difficult to fly across one stupid mountain range, when the ship's alarm bells sounded.
"Hard to port!" Nico yelled from the foremast of the flying ship.
Back at the helm, Leo yanked the wheel. The Argo II veered left, its aerial oars slashing through the clouds like rows of knives.
Hazel made the mistake of looking over the rail. A dark, spherical shape hurtled toward her. She thought: Why is the moon coming at us? Then she yelped and hit the deck. The huge rock passed so close overhead, it blew her hair out of her face.
CRACK!
The foremast collapsed--sail, spars, and Nico all crashing to the deck. The boulder, roughly the size of a pickup truck, tumbled off into the fog like it had important business elsewhere.
"Nico!" Hazel scrambled over to him as Leo brought the ship level.
"I'm fine," Nico muttered, kicking folds of canvas off his legs.
She helped him up, and they stumbled to the bow. Hazel peeked over more carefully this time. The clouds parted just long enough to reveal the top of the mountain below them: a spearhead of black rock jutting from mossy green slopes. Standing at the summit was a mountain god--one of the numina montanum, Jason had called them. Or ourae, in Greek. Whatever you called them, they were nasty.
Like the others they had faced, this one wore a simple white tunic over skin as rough and dark as basalt. He was about twenty feet tall and extremely muscular, with a flowing white beard, scraggly hair, and a wild look in his eyes, like a crazy hermit. He bellowed something Hazel didn't understand, but it obviously wasn't welcoming. With his bare hands, he pried another chunk of rock from his mountain and began shaping it into a ball.
The scene disappeared in the fog, but when the mountain god bellowed again, other numina answered in the distance, their voices echoing through the valleys.
"Stupid rock gods!" Leo yelled from the helm. "That's the third time I've had to replace that mast! You think they grow on trees?"
Nico frowned. "Masts are from trees."
"That's not the point!" Leo snatched up one of his controls, a jury-rigged Nintendo Wii stick, and spun it in a circle. A few feet away, a trapdoor opened in the deck. A Celestial bronze cannon rose. Hazel just had time to cover he ears before it discharged into the sky, spraying a dozen metal spheres that trailed green fire. The spheres grew spikes in midair, like helicopter blades, and spun away into the fog.
A moment later, a series of explosions crackled across the mountains, followed by the outraged roar of mountain gods.
"Ha!" Leo yelled.
Unfortunately, Hazel guessed, judging from their last two encounters, Leo's newest weapon had only annoyed the numina.
Another boulder whistled through the air off to their starboard side.
Nico yelled, "Get us out of here!"
Leo muttered some unflattering comments about numina, but he turned the wheel. The engines hummed. Magical rigging lashed itself tight, and the ship tacked to port. The Argo II picked up speed, retreating northwest, as they'd been doing for the past two days.
Hazel didn't relax until they were out of the mountains. The fog cleared. Below them, morning sunlight illuminated the Italian countryside--rolling green hills and golden fields not too different from those in Northern California. Hazel could almost imagine she was sailing home to Camp Jupiter.
The thought weighed on her chest. Camp Jupiter had only been her home for nine months, since Nico had brought her back from the Underworld. But she missed it more than her birthplace of New Orleans, and definitely more than Alaska, where she'd died back in 1942.
She missed her bunk in the Fifth Cohort barracks. She missed dinners in the mess hall, with wind spirits whisking platters through the air and legionnaires joking about the war games. She wanted to wander the streets of New Rome, holding hands with Frank Zhang. She wanted to experience just being a regular girl for once, with an actual sweet, caring boyfriend.
Most of all, she wanted to feel safe. She was tired of being scared and worried all the time.
She stood on the quarterdeck as Nico picked mast splinters out of his arms and Leo punched buttons on the ship's console.
"Well, that was sucktastic," Leo said. "Should I wake the others?"
Hazel was tempted to say yes, but the other crewmembers had taken the night shift and had earned their rest. They were exhausted from defending the ship. Every few hours, it seemed, some Roman monster had decided the Argo II looked like a tasty treat.
A few weeks ago, Hazel wouldn't have believed that anyone could sleep through a numina attack, but now she imagined her friends were still snoring away below decks. Whenever she got a chance to crash, she slept like a coma patient.
"They need rest," she said. "We'll have to figure out another way on our own."
"Huh." Leo scowled at his monitor. In his tattered work shirt and grease-splattered jeans, he looked like he'd just lost a wrestling match with a locomotive.
Ever since their friends Percy and Annabeth had fallen into Tartarus, Leo had been working almost nonstop. He'd been acting angrier and even more driven than usual.
Hazel worried about him. But part of her was relieved by the change. Whenever Leo smiled and joked, he looked too much like Sammy, is great-grandfather...Hazel's first boyfriend back in 1942.
Ugh, why did her life have to be so complicated?
"Another way," Leo muttered. "Do you see one?"
On his monitor glowed a map of Italy. The Apennine Mountains ran down the middle of the boot-shaped country. A green dot for the Argo II blinked on the western side of the range, a few hundred miles north of Rome. Their path should have been simple. They needed to get to a place called Epirus in Greece and find an old temple called the House of Hades (or Pluto, as the Romans called him; or as Hazel liked to think of him: the World's Worst Absent Father).
To reach Epirus, all they had to do was go straight east--over the Apennines and across the Adriatic Sea. But it hadn't worked out that way. Each time they tried to cross the spine of Italy, the mountain gods attacked.
For the past two days they'd skirted north, hoping to find a safe pass, with no luck. The numina montanum were sons of Gaea, Hazel's least favorite goddess. That made them very determined enemies. The Argo II couldn't fly high enough to avoid their attacks; and even with all its defenses, the ship couldn't make it across the range without being smashed to pieces.
"It's our fault," Hazel said. "Nico and mine." The numina can sense us."
She glanced at her half brother. Since they'd rescued him from the giants, he'd started to regain his strength, but he was still painfully thin. His black shirt and jeans hung off his skeletal frame. Long, dark hair framed his sunken eyes. His olive complexion had turned a sickly greenish-white, like the color of tree sap.
In human years, he was barely fourteen, just a year older than Hazel; but that didn't tell the whole story. Like Hazel, Nico di Angelo was a demigod from another era. He radiated a kind of old energy--a melancholy that came from knowing he didn't belong in the modern world.
Hazel hadn't known him very long, but she understood, even shared his sadness. The children of Hades (Pluto--whichever) rarely had happy lives. And judging from what Nico had told her the night before, their biggest challenge was yet to come when they reached the House of Hades-- a challenge he'd implored her to keep secret from the others.
Nico gripped the hilt of his Stygian iron sword. "Earth spirits don't like children of the Underworld. That's true. We get under their skin--literally. But I think the numina could sense this ship anyway. We're carrying the Athena Parthenos. That thing is like a magical beacon."
Hazel shivered, thinking of the massive statue that took up mosty of the hold. They'd sacrificed so much, saving it from the cavern under Rome; but they had no idea what to do with it. So far the only thing it seemed to be good for was alerting more monsters to their presence.
Leo traced his finger down the map of Italy. "So crossing the mountains is out. Thing is, they go a long way in either direction."
"We could go by sea," Hazel suggested. "Sail around the southern tip of Italy."
"That's a long way," Nico said. "Plus, we don't have..."
His voice cracked. "You know...our sea expert, Percy."
The name hung in the air like an impending storm.
Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon...probably the demigod Hazel admired the most. He'd saved her life so many times on their quest to Alaska; but when he had needed Hazel's help in Rome, she'd failed him. She'd watched, powerless, as he and Annabeth had plunged into that pit....
Hazel took a deep breath. Percy and Annabeth were still alive. She knew that in her heart. She could still help them if she could get to the House of Hades, if she could survive the challenge Nico had warned her about....
"What about continuing north?" she asked. "There has to be a break in the mountains, or something."
Leo fiddled with the bronze Archimedes sphere that he'd installed on the console--his newest and most dangerous toy. Every time Hazel looked at the thing, her mouth went dry. She worried that Leo would turn the wrong combinationon the sphere and accidentally eject them all from the deck, or blow up the ship, or turn the Argo II into a giant toaster.
Fortunately, they got lucky. The sphere grew a camera lens and projected a 3D image of the Apennine Mountains above the console.
"I dunno." Leo examined the holograph. "I don't see any good passes to the north. But I like the idea better than backtracking south. I'm done with Rome."
No one argued with that. Rome had not been a good experience.
"Whatever we so," Nico said, "we have to hurry. Every day that Annabeth and Percy are in Tartarus..."
He didn't need to finish. They had to hope Percy and Annabeth could survive long enough to find the Tartarus side of the Doors of Death. Then, assuming the Argo II could reach the House of Hades, they might be able to open the doors on the mortal side, save their friends, and seal the entrance, stopping Gaea's forces from being reincarnated in the mortal world, over and over.
Yes...nothing could go wrong with that plan.
Nico scowled at the Italian countryside below them. Maybe we should wake the others. The decision affects us all."
"No," Hazel said. "We can find a solution."
She wasn't sure why she felt strongly about it, but since leaving Rome, the crew had started to lose its cohesion. They'd been learning to work as a team. Then bam...their two most important members fell into Tartarus. Percy had been their backbone. He'd given them confidence as they sailed across the Atlantic and into the Mediterranean. As for Annabeth--she'd been the de facto leader of the quest. She'd recovered the Athena Parthenos single-handedly. She was the smartest of the seven, the one with the answers.
If Hazel woke up the rest of the crew every time they had a problem, they'd just start arguing again, feeling more and more hopeless.
She had to make Percy and Annabeth proud of her. She had to take the initiative. She couldn't believe her only role in this quest would be what Nico had warned her of--removing the obstacle waiting for them in the House of Hades. She pushed the thought aside.
"We need some creative thinking," she said. "Another way to cross those mountains, or a way to hide ourselves from the numina"
Nico sighed. "If I was on my own, I could shadow-travel. But that won't work for an entire ship. And honestly, I'm not sure I have the strength to even transport myself anymore."
"I could maybe rig some kind of camouflage," Leo said, "like a smoke scren to hide us in the clouds." He didn't sound very enthusiastic.
Hazel stared down at the rolling farmland, thinking about what lay beneath it--the realm of her father, lord of the Underworld. She'd only met Pluto once, and she hadn't realized who he was. She certainly had never expected help from him--not when she was alive the first time, not during her time as a spirit in the Underworld, not since Nico had brought her back to the world of the living.
Her dad's servant Thanatos, god of death, had suggested that Pluto might be doing Hazel a favor by ignoring her. After all, she wasn't supposed to be alive. If Pluto took notice of her, he might have to return her to the land of the dead.
Which meant calling on Pluto would be a very bad idea.
And yet...
Please, Dad, she found herself praying. I have to find a way to your temple in Greece--the House of Hades. If you're down there, show me what to do.
At the edge of the horizon, a flicker of movement caught her eye--something small and beige racing across the fields at incredible speed, leaving a vapor trail like a plane's.
Hazel couldn't believe it. She didn't dare hope, but it had to be..."Arion."
"What?" Nico asked.
Leo let out a happy whoop as the dust cloud got closer.
"It's her horse, man! You missed that whole part. We haven't seen him since Kansas!"
Hazel laughed--the first time she'd laughed in days. It felt so good to see her old friend.
About a mile to the north, the small beige dot circled a hill and stopped at the summit. He was difficult to make out, but when the horse reared and whinnied, the sound carried all the way to the Argo II. Hazel had no doubt--it was Arion.
"We have to meet him," she said. "He's here to help."
"Yeah, okay." Leo scratched his head. "But, uh, we talked about not landing the ship on the ground anymore, remember? You know, with Gaea wanting to destroy us, and all."
"Just get me close, and I'll use the rope ladder." Hazel's heart was pounding. "I think Arion wants to tell me something."

Makes you want more doesn't if. Tell me what you think.

Personal Demon by Lisa DesRochers

Okay, so what happens when you fall for a demon and apersonaln angel who both love you back?

What happens when the world you knew get 10x bigger?

What happens when high school meets Heaven and Hell?

This book is the answer to all your questions and more.

Frannie Cavanaugh, our main character, never really had the whole “love” life in high school. She’s from a regular Catholic family where all her sisters and her are named Mary and something. Frannie goes to Hades High-Hell High. She has normal high school problems. Test, annoying partners and falling for the bad boy. His name is Luc and he is literally as hot as Hell and he’s from Hell. He’s a demon, he’s like a tracker/tagger demon to be exact. His mission is to tag Frannie for Hell only he didn’t plan on falling for her. On the other end, Heaven sends the almighty Gabriel to tag her for Heaven.

Now what to do when the two hottest boys of your school are falling all over you?

Fall in love with them both, is the only answer. That’s what Frannie does anyway. Kisses with Gabe send her feeling like Heaven but kisses with Luc or hot and all powerful. Who to choose.

The easy choice would be the one who is easy not to love but Frannie is done letting things she wants go.

Before we go let’s get to know the boys a little better.

Luc

  • Demon from Hell
  • Has the power to smell emotions
    • ex: Love= chocolate
  • Bad boy turned good
  • Lived through the life of Mona Lisa
  • Experiences human type emotions aka jealousy

Gabe

  • Angel from Heaven
  • Came to tag Frannie
  • Didn’t plan on falling for Frannie
  • Didn’t plan on becoming a friend of a demon who loves the same girl he does

Both boys are swoon-worthy, which would you choose. Bad or good.

GOOD vs EVIL who wins the heart of a teenager targeted by both Heaven and Hell for a power she never even wanted.

This book is rated 5 stars all the way. To be honest, at first, I was a little reluctant to read this book but it did not disappoint. If you will excuse me, I have to go find the next one.

I texted Kaidan, who was listed in my contacts under “James,” for James Bond. He’d chosen it. He had me listed as “Hot Chick From Gig.”

Video chat in 30.

His immediate response made me shake my head.

Clothing optional?

It was nice to know he could keep a sense of humor in the face of calamity. Or maybe he wasn’t joking...

“Are you two flirting?” Patti asked, her eyes darting to me from the road.

I blushed and deleted his message.

So keep voting for Kaidan in the YA Crush Tournament so we can get more looks at Kaidan….lkj His not round is on July 12 with Warner from Shatter Me and Will from the Clockwork Angel series. It’s some serious competition for him, so let’s make sure he wins.

It’s a cover reveal- Origin by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Origin is the next book is the beloved Lux Series by Jennifer L. Armentrout. I was visiting one of a favorite blogs, Two Chicks On Books, when I saw some of the greatest news this summer. The cover of Origin has been revealed and OMG is it HOT HOT HOT!!!!  Don’t believe me look for yourself. While your at it, why don’t you read the summary bought to you by Goodreads,

za

Daemon will do anything to get Katy back.

After the successful but disastrous raid on Mount Weather, he’s facing the impossible. Katy is gone. Taken. Everything becomes about finding her. Taking out anyone who stands in his way? Done. Burning down the whole world to save her? Gladly. Exposing his alien race to the world? With pleasure.

All Katy can do is survive.

Surrounded by enemies, the only way she can come out of this is to adapt. After all, there are sides of Daedalus that don’t seem entirely crazy, but the group’s goals are frightening and the truths they speak even more disturbing. Who are the real bad guys? Daedalus? Mankind? Or the Luxen?

Together, they can face anything.

But the most dangerous foe has been there all along, and when the truths are exposed and the lies come crumbling down, which side will Daemon and Katy be standing on?

And will they even be together?

Sounds like something you die for? I fell in love with this series and nearly died looking at this cover. IDK what’s going to happen when I read but hopeful it ends with Katy running into Daemon’s arms.

Playing Patience by Tabatha Vargo

“You can hide in there all you want, but I can still see you.” ,,

I didn’t say anything as she scooted back over to the car door, popped it open, and then jumped out to jog home.

It wasn’t until I was almost home that I realized she was right. I hid myself a lot, but only because I was secretly afraid to get close to anyone. Getting close to people was dangerous. People died and the ones that didn’t die hurt you.

Wow, this book was just wow. It’s a story about a girl hiding what’s going on in her house and a boy from the wrong side of the tracks. A true love story that makes everyone want to cry and cheer at the same time. The story of Patience and Zeke and how they fell in  love.

Characters

ZEKE

Zeke is the held-back-for-a-year-bad- boy all your fathers warn you about. The guy that has a new girl like every night. Who plays the guitar and shows everybody only one side of him until you dig deeper and find the rest. The type that doesn’t think he'll ever find love. You know the type. He’s the boy all readers swoon over. Zeke fits the bill of a loveable bad boy with a troubling past and present. Zeke’s caring, tuff, sexy, and completely swoon worthy. If there is one thing Zeke doesn’t do, its chase. He’s a rock star for Christ's sake he doesn’t need to chase. But when he meets Patience he starts to play tug-o-war with his old-self and the self he’ becoming because of Patience

Zeke revealing a little of himself in Patience’s POV

“Do you like playing that song?” I asked casually as I handed him the guitar.

He picked at the strings a bit and then shrugged. “Not really.”

“Then why were you?” I adjusted my tank top and sat back in my chair.

He played a little tune and shot me with another sexy grin.

“It reminds me of you.”

PATIENCE

Patience aka Snowflake- a nickname given to her from Zeke- is the girl everyone thinks has the perfect life. Little does anyone know what she’s hiding in her house. No one knows what she has to put up with. Her family and friends don’t know why she always stays out or why she doesn’t date. Even though she has been told she has a “Hot Bod”. Until she meets Zeke she has never really wanted anyone. Especially not someone that made her hot and flustered by the simplest touch, or the slight sneak of a smile. She never liked the touch of a male but Zeke, well lets just say “the rules are changing”. Let’s talk about her family. Patience lives with her dying-of-breast-cancer-mom, her little sister, and her dad. Let’s not forget her BF Megan.

A quote of Megan and Patience talking

“I’ve missed you, chick. Anything new going on? How’s the voluntary community service going?” She laughed.

I immediately thought of Zeke and how glad I was that I’d decided to volunteer. I couldn’t deny the fact that I was starting to like him. Nothing could ever come from it because I was a total mental head case, but still, it was nice to think I was capable of liking a guy. It gave me a tiny spark of hope and I wanted to latch on to that hope and water it and load it down with sunlight so it could grow.

“What is that look about?” she asked with wide eyes.

“What look?”

“Oh my God, don’t even try to play me! I’ve seen that look before, just never on you.” She giggled. “So, spill it, woman! Who’s the guy?”

I tried to school my face, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t get the smile to go down. I tried to smooth the sides of my mouth down with my fingers, but still the goofy smile remained.

“I have no idea what you’re talking about.” I looked out the window since I couldn’t keep a straight face.

“Oh come on, Pay. As women it’s our job to talk about boys. Tell me about him. Anyone I know?” She tapped her fingernails on the steering wheel.

“Okay, so you have to swear not to say anything.” I sighed.

Her eyes lit up at the prospect of some juicy gossip.

“I swear I won’t.” She turned into the school parking lot and barely missed another car. They blew their horn at us and Megan flipped them off.

After I unlatched my hand from the dash, I ran my fingers through my hair and took a deep breath. This was the first time I’d ever confessed being in like with someone.

“So, you know I’ve spent the last few days at the Boy’s Club with Zeke,” I started.

“Oh my God, did you and Zeke make pre-babies?” Her eyes were so big I was afraid they were going to pop out of her head.

“Did me and Zeke what?” I’d never heard anything of the sort.

“You know! Did you guys bump uglies? As in, did you have sex?” She was motioning with her hands for me to hurry up and tell her.

“God, no! Geez, Megan. What I was going to say, before I was so rudely interrupted, is he’s been taking me home afterward and I don’t know… I guess I kind of like him.” My face felt like it was about to combust.

“Well, of course you like him, Pay. He’s hotter than hell. Plus, it doesn’t hurt that he’s amazing with a guitar, which has to mean he’s good with his fingers, but you know me. I have a thing for tattoos and rock stars. I didn’t think you did, though. I’ve never even heard you say a guy was cute before. Honestly, I was starting to think you were into girls.” She shrugged.

“I am not into girls.”

“Hey, no hate over here. You know I don’t care about shit like that.” She held up her hands palms out. “But I just figured…”

“Yeah, well, you figured wrong.” I jumped out of the car and started toward the school. Within seconds, Megan was right beside me.

“So, Zeke, like, talks to you? Because Chet says he’s not much of a talker.”

I laughed thinking about all the stuff that came out of his mouth.

“Yeah, he talks some. He’d never admit it, but he’s not a bad guy.”

“Tell that to all the girls he’s left behind. Although, it’s not like they didn’t know any better. Chet says Zeke is pretty upfront about only wanting one-night stands.” She waved at some guy as we walked by.

“Yeah, that sounds about right. I don’t know. We’ve only talked a little. I’m not, like, in love with him or anything. I was just saying I like him.” I instantly started to worry that Megan would tell Chet and then Chet would tell Zeke.

Oh my God, he’d never let me live that one down. This whole talking about boys thing was new for me and I didn’t know if I could trust Megan to keep her trap shut.

“Listen, Megan, please don’t say anything to Chet, okay?”

“Cross my heart, hope to die!” she shouted across the hallway to me.

Patience and Zeke start off with attraction. The annoying attraction in which you can’t get someone out of your head. Then they start hanging out and the next thing you knew, they are both fascinated by each others smell. For Patience it was Zeke shirt and for Zeke it was the smell of Patience on his pillow and in his motel room’s bathroom. Love is a funny thing, it can make you incredibly strong or when it’s taken away unbelievably broken.

Zeke and Patience flirting yet revealing something deeper

“You want to know what I am? I’m shattered, that’s what I am. There are tiny pieces of Patience scattered all over.”

“I’d like a piece of Patience.” He reached across the table and ran a finger across my hand.

This time I did tense up, but for entirely different reasons. My heartbeat sped up like I was on the verge of a panic attack, but instead, a rush of euphoria filled me.

“I don’t know if I can give you a piece.” I heard myself flirt back.

This earned me another sexy grin. Damn him for being so freaking sexy.

“Why not?

“Because I don’t know where they are.” I felt myself frown at those words.

What started out as innocent flirting had just that quickly become a sad truth. I was a shattered girl and I had no idea where my pieces were or how to put myself back together if I did find them.

“I bet I could find your pieces.” He leaned in and bathed my cheek with heated breath.

I didn’t miss his hidden meaning, but I chose to ignore it. “Good luck. I’ve been trying to find them for years.”

I shrugged off my shiver and started to deal the cards again.

“Challenge accepted,” he said as he leaned back in his chair and took a swig from his beer.

“I didn’t issue any challenge. I was just making a statement.” I swallowed hard.

“Yes, you did. You just begged me to find you. Consider it done.”

Writing

The story travels between both POV’s of Patience and Zeke. When switching to opposite POV’s sometimes we will get flashbacks to see what the other person thought about what happened.

m,

Overall I thought the story was beyond words AMAZING. If you liked Leaving Paradise, Return to Paradise, Chain Reaction, Perfect Chemistry, and You Against Me then you’ll love this. (Click title for review).

I can READ… and WATCH Harry Potter

I have finally joined the TRUE FANDOM of HARRY POTTER. I have now read and watched one of the best series in the world. I have heard many people say that the books were better than the movies. Don’t get me wrong, I ‘m not disagreeing with these people but I’m also not completely agreeing.

xccThe Sorcerer’s Stonexc

The beginning of any story is the supposed to be the part in which you should be captured for the future. I am truly sorry to report that neither the book nor the movie did that for me. That is why I am happy I saw the movie of this book first because I found this book extremely boring. It literally put me to sleep every time I read it. It took me two weeks to finish this book to my usual two day read.

sdPrisoner of Azkabansdd

Okay, Prisoner of Azkaban is like my favorite Harry Potter movie ever. I absolutely love that movie. It’s one of the main reasons I started reading the books. I read this book and to be perfectly honest I thought the movie was better than the book. I mean the book does fill in some grasp from the movie but I honestly enjoyed the movie more

opOrder of the Phoenixopp

Now although I love the movie/ book of Prisoner of Azkaban, I going to say that Order of the Phoenix is the best Harry Potter story EVER! I enjoyed the movie and the book equally which doesn’t usually happen for me. This feeling is all new and I like it a lot.

rtHalf-blood Princertt

I don’t mean to be rude to the directors, actors, J.K Rowling, or the cast/crew but I didn’t like this movie what-so-ever, so I was a little scared to read this book because of the movie. I am happy to report that the book was a lot better than the movie. Normally I don’t like comparing the books to their movies but for this case it is highly needed. This is not one of the best Harry Potter movies but the book hits the charts.

I have yet to read The Chamber of Secrets,The Goblet of Fire or Deathly Hallows but they are all on my list of To-Reads.

Now that I’ve read the books and seen the movies, I am happy to finally join the TRUE FANDOM of HARRY POTTER. The fandom is always looking for more members, so you should try to read the book. Then see which of the two you like best.

Halo by Alexandra Adornetto

Halo is a whole other kind of story.

Angels! I love angels. Personally, I like fallen angels more than angelic angels but who am I to judge because I would die for this book and it has nothing to do with fallen angels.

3 angels sent from the Heavens; Gabriel, Ivy, and Bethany (are main character) These angels are sent to help the people of a small town by finding and destroying the EVIL

Only things don't go as planned.

First, I think it should be noted that Angels do have the ability to lie. Because these Angels do have the ability to lie. Because these Angels do lie. Now, they don't like a lot nor do they tell major lies but they do lie, white lies. For example, they lied about where they are from; about their parents; and about being human.

Gabriel, Ivy, and Bethany- Beth- are dead set on changing this town and destroying the EVIL, in the literal sense. What' the easiest way to find EVIL- enter high school. And that is just what Gabriel and Beth do. Gabriel as a music teacher and Bath as a student. Remember those plans that went wrong, that started with a boy and some very pretty eyes. This boy is Xavier and I wouldn't trade him for anything. Neither would Beth. If you guess what I just implied... Good Job; if not you should read it again until you do.

Beth, the angel, and Xavier, the human, fall in love. And I'm not talking puppy love. I'm saying head over heels, I'll die for you love. And the book didn't even have to get all Breaking Dawn Part I/ PG-13 for it to happen. If you don't get what I'm trying to say... I'm sorry.

Any who, what's always good about books like this?  The love triangles. Our third corner is Jake. Honestly, I love the name Jake and usually all Jake's are good guys. Jake from Halo has tainted the name Jake and I feel so sorry for all the Jakes in the world having to be compared to this guy. But I will give Jake from Halo one thing; he sure can write.

She had the face of an angel
I saw mirrors in her eyes
We were the same, she and I
Both bound by potent lies

In him I saw my future
In him I saw my friend
In him I saw my destiny
Both my beginning and my end

This poem was by Beth and Jake. Jake wrote the first part obviously about Beth, but  poor, sweet, I've-only-ever-had-one-crush/boyfriend- Beth couldn't see that until it was too late. Meanwhile, she wrote her part about Xavier.

I love everything about Xavier
  • he's protective- usually in a cute way
  • sweet
  • nice
  • seems to be unafraid of almost everything
"Where we come from, people are not judged by their words," Gabriel said
Xavier was unfazed. "Then you'll have to wait and judge me by my actions."
  • loves Beth
  • and kind of saves the world
What's not to love.

And I just love Beth. Sometimes she's more naïve than me and it's awesome. I wouldn't change anything about her story. Beth has got an unique point of view

"One of the most frustrating words in the human language, as far as I could tell, was love."

And how right you are, Beth.

This book is AWESOME but at one point does go a little slow but trust me when I say it will make it up in the end.

You should read this because yes, your life and the lives of many Americans around you count on it.
